AutomationFully autonomous systems are possible. Cranes can be PLC or computer controlled to perform specific and repetitive tasks. Stacker cranes can also be automated where the crane is sent to retrieve parts/pallets from specific locations (warehousing). All VFD’s can be controlled through use of Modbus and CANopen which are integrated into the drive controller through the use of an RJ45 connecter as a standard. Up to 31 drives can be linked with Modbus, and 127 drives through CANopen. Other protocols can be utilized used by means of optional control cards. |
